Christmas with the Horses is set for 4 to 7 p.m. Saturday at the Exceptional Equestrians horse facility on the campus of J. Iverson Riddle Developmental Center.
This major, annual fundraising event for the EE program is fun for the whole family. The most popular activity is riding EE's "Herd of Heroes" in the indoor arena led by trained volunteers.
Also popular are pictures with Santa in the red carriage and horse-drawn cart rides.
Visitors can take hay rides around campus to see the Christmas lights and ride in an Amish-made wagon pulled by miniature horses. Gator rides take visitors on a ride around the farm.
Each activity is just $5 or five activities for only $20. Yummy goodies will be available at the concession stand along with the Exceptional Equestrian's famous hot chocolate. Music and visits with the horses are free.
It has been reported that a couple of special guests may even be attending and that EE visitors might even get to meet in person the famous Grinch, Shrek and some of Santa's illustrious elves.
