Charges
• Pierson Obidah Grill, 20, of 7674 Decker Road, Connelly Springs, was served an order for arrest Tuesday for possession of marijuana. Bond: $500 secured. Court date: July 22.
• Crystal Lynne Newton, 25, of 2404 N.C. 181, Lot 1, was served a warrant Monday for shoplifting. She was confined at Burke-Catawba District Confinement Facility. Bond: $250 secured. Court date: June 10.
• Gary Michael Beck, 38, of 1440 Bridlewood Lane, was charged Monday for simple assault and disorderly conduct in public buildings. He was confined at BCDCF. Bond: $1,000 secured. Court date: June 29.
• Ruby Smith, 30, of 1440 Bridlewood Lane, was charged Monday for simple assault and disorderly conduct in public buildings. Court date: June 29.
• Jerry Lee Swink, 66, of 105 Woodman St., Drexel, was charged Monday for simple assault and disorderly conduct in public buildings. He was confined at the Burke County Jail. Bond: $1,000 secured. Court date: June 29.
• Eric Lee Swink, 22, of 4505 Theron Drive, was charged Monday for simple assault and disorderly conduct in public buildings. He was confined at the Burke County Jail. Bond: $1,000 secured. Court date: June 29.
• Amanda Elizabeth Curtis, 24, of 214 Falls St., Apt. E, was served an order for arrest April 23 with breaking and entering into an automobile, larceny and possession of a controlled substance. She was released after signing a written promise to appear. Court date: July 20.

Incidents
• Jesse Raymond Johnson, 25, reported Tuesday damage to personal property in the parking lot of Tobacco Barn, 1018 Burkemont Ave. Someone knocked the mirror off the passenger door of his vehicle. The security video from Tobacco Barn shows a green and grey Chevrolet extended cab pickup truck park beside Johnson's vehicle. A woman with long brown hair exited the truck and bent over to pick something up. When she stood up, she knocked the mirror off Johnson's vehicle with her shoulder. The suspect paid for her merchandise in cash and left the scene without reporting the incident.
• Denver Ray Vint, 50, reported Monday a theft at Pals Motors, 600 Jamestown Road. Vint said his license tag was taken around noon while parked near the Burke County Courthouse.
