Leftover inaugural tickets, originally reserved for ticket lottery winners, will be available in Senator Kay R. Hagan's (D-NC) Washington, D.C., office on a first-come, first-served basis on Monday afternoon from 3-5 p.m, Senator Hagan announced today.

Senator Hagan held a lottery to issue tickets to Tuesday's Presidential Inauguration Ceremony in Washington, D.C. Winners of the ticket lottery were notified by e-mail, and have been told to collect their tickets at Senator Hagan's Washington, D.C., office on Friday from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. and Monday from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m.

Any tickets not claimed by 3 p.m. on Monday will be distributed on a first-come, first-serve basis to North Carolina residents. Individuals wishing to obtain unclaimed tickets must show a North Carolina ID to verify residency.

"This is an exceptionally historic moment, and I want to open it up to as many people as possible," said Senator Hagan. "Those tickets reserved for North Carolinians who received them but couldn't make the trip, or decided not to come, will be given to others who want to take part in Tuesday's inauguration. I'm looking forward to seeing folks from across my state descend on our nation's capital to witness President-Elect Barack Obama's swearing-in."
