Charges
• Jerry Earl Cook, 49, of 4652 Franklin St., Apt. 8, Icard was served a warrant Tuesday for assault on a female. He was confined at Burke-Catawba District Confinement Facility for 48-hours. Court date: Aug. 12.
• William Scott Silver, 20, of 404 Clyde St., Valdese was served a warrant Monday for communicating threats, injury to personal property and injury to real property. He was confined at BCDCF. Bond: $1,500 secured. Court date: July 20.
• Jason James Lee Sheffield, 18, of 2320 Shade Tree St., Connelly Springs was served a warrant Monday for breaking and entering and larceny. He was confined at BCDCF. Bond: $30,000 secured. Court date: Today.
• Kimberly Dawn Vines, 38, of 7674 Decker Road, Lot 6, Connelly Springs was served a warrant Monday for contributing to the delinquency of a minor. Bond: $300 secured. Court date: Monday.
• James Patrick Jones, 50, was charges Saturday with public consumption. He was confined at BCDCF. Bond: $500 secured. Court date: Today.
• Xiong Ta Kong Moua, 21, of 620 Settlemyre Road, Drexel was served a warrant Saturday for forgery. He was released after signing a written promise to appear. Court date: was Monday.
• William Alexander Conley, 46, of 205 Caldwell St. was charged Saturday with possession of drug paraphernalia. He was confined at BCDCF. Bond: $500 secured. Court date: Sept. 16.
• Christopher Charles Styles, 23, of 2251 Liberty Baptist Church Road, Hickory was charged Saturday with carrying a concealed weapon, DWI and open container. He was confined at BCDCF. Bond: $2,000 secured. Court date: Sept. 2.
• Jeffrey Allan Pyatte, 33, of 109 S. Phoenix Ave. was served an order for arrest Friday for obtaining property by false pretenses. He was confined at BCDCF. Bond: $1,000 secured. Court date: Aug. 3.
• Janice Lynn Sabourin, 28, of 2250 Hemlock Trails was served an order for arrest Thursday for simple assault. Bond: $500 secured. Court date: July 27.
• Victor Print Ray, 47, of 2760 Old 70 Loop, Icard was served an order for arrest Thursday for possession of a firearm by a felon and possession with intent to manufacture, sell or deliver a controlled substance. He was confined at BCDCF. Bond: $20,000 secured. Court date: Aug. 3.
• Kevin Stuart Carswell, 41, of 5516 Rainhill Church Road was charged June 29 with simple assault and second-degree trespassing. He was confined at BCDCF. Bond: $500 secured. Court date: Aug. 12.

Incidents
• Steve Harbison, 60, of Valdese reported Friday damage to real property at 203 Roper St. Harbison owns the rental property and said sometime in the past month, someone broke the window on the back door of the residence.
• Betty Ann Davis, 72, of St. Petersburg, Fla. reported Friday a theft from her vehicle at Quality Inn on S. Sterling Street. Davis said she returned to the Quality Inn after a family event and laid down. She then returned to her vehicle to retrieve an item and noticed her license plate was missing. Davis said when she left the family event, the tag was still on the vehicle.
• Diana Lynn Register, 59, reported Friday a theft at Ingles on Carbon City Road. Someone stole Register's brown leather wallet while she was shopping. Register's purse was open inside a shopping cart and the suspects distracted her.
• Michael Lynn Pitts, 30, of 3824 Piney Road reported Friday a theft at his residence. Someone took a Playstation 2 and Mossberg 500 pump shotgun from Pitts' attic. Pitts said the attic is locked with a padlock and hasp. The lock was cut and replaced to look like it was locked.
