Charges
• Dan Childers, 54, of 2416 Liberty Church Road, Hickory, was served criminal summons Tuesday for a harassing phone call. Court date: July 1.
• Peggy Louise Thomas, 50, of 2509 N.C. 18, Lot 21, was served criminal summons Tuesday for injury to personal property. Court date: Aug. 19.
• Mary S. Powell, 63, of 3851 Berry Road, Connelly Springs, was served criminal summons Tuesday for a worthless check. Court date: July 15.
• Jerry Grayson McNeilly, 71, of 3292 Norman Drive, was served criminal summons Tuesday for simple assault and communicating threats. Court date: July 13.
• Joshua Lee Sparks, 27, of 3857 Young's Creek Road, was served criminal summons Tuesday for failure to return rental property. Court date: July 22.
• Justin Matthew Hubbard, 27, of 128 Piercey Ave., was charged Tuesday with assault. Court date: July 19.
• Marie Summer Buchanan, 32, of 5773 Bollinger Loop, was served a warrant Tuesday for breaking and entering and two counts of simple assault. She was confined at Burke-Catawba District Confinement Facility (BCDCF). Bond: $500 secured. Court date: July 20.
• Donald Patrick Banner, 19, of 111 Foxfire Drive, was served an order for arrest Tuesday for possession with intent to manufacture, sell or deliver marijuana and possession of drug paraphernalia. He was confined at BCDCF while awaiting a custody release. Court date: Aug. 3.
• Eddie Lee Crotts, 44, of 5773 Bollinger Loop, was served a warrant Tuesday for breaking and entering, simple assault and communicating threats. He was confined at BCDCF. Bond: $800 secured. Court date: July 20.
• Kenyatta Kencaid Houston, 32, of 4475 Epley Road, was charged Monday with larceny and possession of stolen goods. He was confined at BCDCF. Bond: $5,000 secured. Court date: July 22.
• Gasper Mejia Mendoza, 40, of 406 Burkemont Ave., was charged Monday with DWI, no operator's license and possessing or consuming an alcoholic beverage in the passenger area of a vehicle. He was confined at BCDCF. Bond: $500 secured. Court date: Aug. 14.
• Daphne Nicole Miller, 28, of 2866 Windy Hill Hollow, was charged Sunday with possession of stolen goods and no liability insurance. Court date: July 8.
• Bobby Dwayne Belcher, 44, of 5357 Franklin Drive, Collettsville, was charged Sunday with DWI. He was given a custody release. Court date: Aug. 12.
• Andi Judith Morgan, 28, of 372 Cedar Lake Road, Apt. A, Chapel Hill, was charged Sunday with DWI. She was given a custody release. Court date: Aug. 19.
• David Ramos Vicente, 30, of 410 Burkemont Ave., Apt. A, was charged Saturday with DWI and no operator's license. He was confined at BCDCF. Court date: Aug. 14.
• Samuel Richard Hinze, 21, of 4319 U.S. 64 S., was charged Saturday with DWI. He was confined at BCDCF. Bond: $500 secured. Court date: Aug. 19.
• Frank Jeremiah Walls, 50, of 411 W. C St., Newton, was charged Friday with DWI and driving during revocation. He was confined at BCDCF. Bond: $500 secured. Court date: Aug. 12.
• Dakota Ray Maddy, 20, of 4465 Johnson Bridge Road, Lot 26, HIckory, was served a warrant Monday for assault on a female, communicating threats and assault on a child under 12-years. He was confined at Burke-Catawba District Confinement Facility (BCDCF). Court date: July 1.
• Pamela Rose Keenum, 40, of 640 W. Concord St., was served an order for arrest Saturday for two felony counts of obtaining a controlled substance by fraud or forgery. She was confined at BCDCF. Bond: $20,000 secured. Court date: Aug. 3.
• John Yang, 29, of 5555 John Reep St., was charged Friday with three counts of possession of a controlled substance. He was confined at the Burke County Jail. Bond: $2,000 secured. Court date: July 8.
• James Lincoln Moore Jr., 45, of 322 Causby Road, was served criminal summons Friday for two counts of simple worthless checks. Court date: July 22.
• Racine Monique Lee Ramsey, 39, of 433 Old N.C. 18, was served criminal summons Friday for a simple worthless check. Court date: July 22.
• Brandon Lamar Connelly, 25, of 1192 Crescent Woods Road, Apt. F4, was charged Thursday with possession of marijuana. Court date: Aug. 12.
• Mary Melita Robinson, 38, of 114 Crayton St., was served criminal summons Thursday for five counts of simple worthless check. Court date: July 22.
• Calvin Lee Brown Jr., 47, of 115 Silver Creek Road, was charged June 17 with DWI. He was confined at BCDCF while awaiting a custody release. Court date: July 22.
• Quinton Blaine Burchard, 32, of 3170 Piney Road, was charged June 17 with communicating threats, DWI, no operator's license, reckless driving to endanger and one way violation. He was confined at BCDCF. Bond: $1,500 secured. Court date: July 22.
• Rigoberto Mendoza Mendoza, 35, of 111 Erwin St., was served a warrant June 16 for assault on a female. He was confined at the Burke County Jail. Bond: $750 secured. Court date: July 13.
• Tyrone Lamont Carson, 30, of 426 Bouchelle St., was served a warrant June 16 for assault on a female, damage or injury to real property and second-degree trespassing. He was confined at BCDCF. Bond: $2,000 secured. Court date: July 29.
• Jason Shea Ali, 31, of 230 Sequoyah Circle, was charged June 15 with possession of marijuana. Court date: Aug. 28.
• Pamela Ann Sharp, 50, of 4401 Welcome Lane, Lenoir, was charged June 14 with DWI, open container after consuming and driving left of center. She was confined at BCDCF. Bond: $750 secured. Court date: Aug. 19.
• Chad Robert Ramsey, 23, of 2302 Watts St., was charged June 13 with DWI and stop sign violation. He was confined at BCDCF while awaiting a custody release. Court date: July 22.

Incidents
• Charles Timothy McMahon, 37, reported Tuesday a break-in and theft at Timmy Mac's Comics and Collectibles, 803-A Jamestown Road. McMahon said his alarm company phoned him advising of the alarm going off at the business. Someone had kicked in the front door and entered the store. A white cardboard box containing approximately 1,200 collectible YU-GI-OH cards was missing.
• Loida Sango Henderson, 43, and Amy Frankalee Jackson, 31, reported Tuesday a theft at Case Farms, 121 Rand St. Someone removed their wallets from their purses, which were in an unlocked filing cabinet. Henderson and Jackson said many people had access to the office that day because they were interviewing candidates.
• Nicholas Cardin Lail, 20, of Valdese, reported Monday a break-in and theft to his vehicle at Case Farms, 121 Rand St. Lail said his vehicle was in the parking lot when someone pried the door open and removed the radio from the dash.
• Terry Michael Clark, 24, of 132 Air Park Drive, reported Sunday damage to personal property and a break-in to his vehicle. Around 5 a.m. Clark heard a noise outside his residence. Clark saw an unknown black man near his vehicle's driver's side door. When the suspect saw him, he ran on foot toward the woods to Freedom High School. The door handle of Clark's vehicle was damaged.
• Robert Lee Cantrell, 53, of 403 W. McDowell St., reported Saturday damage to a fence at his residence. Cantrell recently put up a chain link fence around his property. Shortly after 8 p.m. Friday, Cantrell saw a white man damage the upper support pole on the fence, leaving the fence unstable. The man had brown hair, was approximately 6-feet tall and was wearing a white tank top and blue jeans. He may have had a beard.
• Samantha Marie Kirk, 21, reported Saturday a theft from her vehicle at 101 Oak Grove St. Kirk said sometime between 1 p.m. and 10:30 p.m., someone took the registration plate from her vehicle while it was parked at that address.
• Wanda Sue Nichols, 57, of 511 Bost Road, reported Saturday damage to personal property at her residence. Someone broke the front passenger window of Nichol's vehicle. The vehicle was parked in Nichol's front yard.
• Christopher Azer Dean Carswell, 21, reported Thursday a theft from his vehicle at Dollar General, 1322 Burkemont Ave. Someone stole the CD player from Carswell's vehicle while he was at work.
• Lisa Stokes Scott, 45, of 210 W. Park Drive, reported June 16 a break-in and theft from her vehicle at her residence. Scott said she parked her vehicle around 9:30 p.m. the previous evening and left the driver's door unlocked. In the morning, Scott discovered someone had rummaged through the center console and took a Garmin GPS system.
• David Odell Witherspoon, 65, of 123 Silver Creek Road, reported June 16 a theft from his vehicle at his residence. Witherspoon's car was parked in the driveway. He is unsure if the doors of the vehicle were locked. Someone took the XM Satellite radio unit from the car.
