Charges
• Sara Elizabeth McLaughlin, 22, of 1247 Brown Drive, was charged Tuesday with possessing or consuming alcohol in the passenger area of a vehicle. Court date: Aug. 17.
• Edward James Dearnley, 49, of 103 Beard St., was served a warrant Tuesday for communicating threats and second-degree trespassing. Court date: Friday.
• Kendra Patrice Hawkins, 38, of 109 Brookside Lane, was served criminal summons Tuesday for damage to personal property. Court date: June 7.
• Corey Michael Eply, 19, of 304 Ramsey St., was charged Tuesday with simple possession of marijuana. Court date: Aug. 17.
• Fred Lee Yount Jr., 32, of 21 Forrest Ave., Granite Falls, was served a warrant Tuesday for injury to personal property and larceny. He was released after signing a written promise to appear. Court date: June 19.
• Harvey Maxwell Prete, 17, of Western Youth Institution, was served criminal summons Tuesday for assault of a government official. Court date: June 3.
• Anthony Rashawn Taylor, 20, of 424 Falls Road, No. 59, Moravian Falls, was charged Monday with simple possession of marijuana. Court date: July 6.
• Darrell Lee Hefner of 4915 HM Hefner Road, Lot 1, Hickory, was charged Tuesday with assault on a female and communicating threats. He was confined at Burke-Catawba District Confinement Facility (BCDCF). Court date: June 17.
• Aileen Pilayo Clark, 42, of 4421 Leger Road, Valdese, was served a warrant Tuesday for assault and battery. She was confined BCDCF for 48 hours. Court date: June 12.
• Natalie Berry Phillips, 46, of 2909 U.S. 70 E., Lot 6, was served criminal summons Tuesday for misdemeanor larceny. Court date: June 10.
• Keye Brent Penley, 19, of 111 Pete Brittain Road, was served criminal summons Tuesday for injury to real property. Court date: July 10.
• Rhonda Kay Davis Gragg, 56, of 3238 N.C. 181, was served a warrant Tuesday for felony larceny of a motor vehicle. Court date: June 3.
• Michelle Calhoun Silvers, 35, of 331 Bost Road, Apt. F12, was charged Monday with misdemeanor child abuse, possession of a controlled substance and possession of marijuana. Court date: Sept. 16.
• Christopher Shaun Maloney, 29, of 107 Mountain View St., Drexel, was charged Sunday with possession of a controlled substance, driving during revocation and failure to produce or surrender a license. He was confined at BCDCF while awaiting a custody release. Court date: July 27.
• Matthew Brent Rossman, 19, of 4165 Shadowbrook Court, was served an order for arrest Sunday for purchasing, possessing or consuming alcohol by a 19- or 20-year-old and failure to appear in court. He was confined at BCDCF. Bond: $1,000 secured. Court date: June 29.
• James Douglas Woody, 30, of 2410 Antioch Road, was charged Sunday with DWI, driving during revocation, speeding in excess of 55 mph, and possessing or consuming alcohol in the passenger area of a vehicle. He was confined at BCDCF while awaiting a custody release. Court date: June 19.
• Jonathan Robert Pearson, 20, of 3975 Sol Mull, road was charged Sunday with underage possession of alcohol and possession or consumption of alcohol in the passenger area of a vehicle. Court date: June 19.
• Jennifer Diane Palacios, 18, of 113 Hoyle St., was charged Sunday with DWI and provisional licensee driving after consumption. She was confined at BCDCF while awaiting a custody release. Court date: June 19.
• Evelyn Stephanie Palacios, 19, of 113 Hoyle St., was charged Sunday with aiding and abetting a DWI and underage possession of alcohol. Court date: June 19.
• Larry Kyle York, 20, of 3492 Flat Gap Road, Valdese, was charged Sunday with possession of a controlled substance. Court date: Sept. 16.
• Carlos Marin Delgadillo, 33, of 7800 Taylor Drive, Trailer 109, Manassas, Va., was served a warrant Saturday for sexual battery. He was released after signing a written promise to appear. Court date: July 17.
• Melvin Harris Jr., 47, of 114 New St., was charged Saturday with possession of drug paraphernalia. He was also served warrants for resisting arrest, felony breaking and entering and communicating threats. He was confined at BCDCF. Bond: $7,000 secured. Court dates: was Tuesday, Sept. 16.
• Guillermo Cruz Ortiz, 32, of 115 Ridge St., was charged Saturday with DWI, following too closely and driving during revocation. He was confined at BCDCF. Court date: June 15.
• Michelle Gardner Hobbs, 34, of the Days Inn, Room 314, 1100 Burkemont Ave., was charged Friday with financial identity fraud, driving during revocation, and failure to produce or surrender license. She was confined at BCDCF. Bond: $500 secured. Court date: June 19.
• Daryl Edward Ingle, 29, of 2501 Harthill Road, Hickory, was charged Friday with resisting arrest, possession of a controlled substance and possession of drug paraphernalia. He was confined at BCDCF. Bond: $500 secured. Court date: June 19.

Incidents
• John Chrisley Causby, 49, of 400 Lenoir St., No. 7, reported Sunday a break-in and theft from his vehicle at his residence. Causby said he left the vehicle unlocked over the weekend. When he left for work Sunday morning, he noticed his toolbelt was missing from the back cargo area. The toolbelt held crescent wrenches, pipe wrenches, screwdrivers, hammers and nails.
• Clifton Howard Corpening Sr., 70, of 246 E. View St., reported Saturday the theft of a firearm. Corpening last saw the hand gun on May 20 around 7 p.m. He discovered the gun was missing on Saturday. Corpening said there were signs of forcible entry to his residence.
