(Online only) Sohovich: Norman still wasting money

Morganton, NC - In the mail on Oct. 17 I received two post cards to support Tracy Norman for re-election to Burke County Board of Education. One post card was addressed to the family and one was addressed to me personally. I'm well known as SWAT supporter.

She also sent two post cards to Buddy Armour.

Tracy Norman again is showing how fiscally irresponsible she is with other people's money. This time she's wasting money that her supporters donated to her campaign.

Of course, why would this surprise anyone in Burke County? It doesn't because we're all aware that she, Tim Buff, Karen Sain, Rob Hairfield and John Aulgur don't care about the shareholders and taxpayers' money that's been wasted over the last several months by buying out David Burleson's contract, pursuing frivolous lawsuits and numerous other items they've had on their agendas.

When it's Tracy's money she can go ahead and be wasteful and irresponsible with it. But when it's our money, we should have a say-so in how it's spent. And we the voters say the irresponsible spending of our bucks stops now.

So for those voters who feel the same way that I do about my tax dollars' being wasted and not going to educate the children of Burke County, please vote for Susan Stroup, Sam Wilkinson, Buddy Armour and Catherine Thomas on Nov. 3.
