Elections canvass turns up 1,000 votes

Morganton, NC - Today's official canvass of the Nov. 3 election in Burke County added about 1,000 votes to the total. The new numbers include provisional and cubside ballots and correct some precinct totals, but did not change any of the outcomes. See Wednesday's edition of The News Herald for more details and a precinct-by-precinct table of results in the Burke County Board of Education contests.
