MORGANTON - Pleasant Hill Baptist Church, located at 2396 Enola Road, will host, creation evangelist James Gardner on Sunday morning. During two different seminars, Gardner will speak on dinosaurs and dragons and the consequences chosen paths.
"There are two distinctly different destinations and each carries two different sets of consequences. People need to understand there are consequences for believing in one of the two world views and those consequences are eternal," Gardner said.
Creationism versus evolutionary humanism are the two world views and both are faith-based belief systems, he said. Addressing ever-popular questions of who are we and where we come from, Gardner will expound on available scientific evidence.
Gardner is founder and CEO of Canopy Ministries, a non-denominational educational organization. Gardner's travels on foreign missions have taken him through Europe, Asia, Australia, the Pacific, Caribbean and both Central and South America.
Since 1993, Gardner has taught and spoke on creation versus evolution at churches, schools and colleges nationwide as well as internationally. Gardner has done extensive field work on trips to the Grand Canyon in relation to Noah's flood.
Gardner will discuss "The Mystery of Ancient Man" beginning at 6 p.m. and present a seminar on U.F.O.'s, aliens and incredible creatures at 7:30 p.m. He will conclude with the Q&A time with the youth.
Gardner said, "I want to teach people there is a God and scientific evidence points straight to scripture and the fact that He created the heavens and the earth just like He said He did."
