Draughn, EBHS swimmers ready for regionals

Huntersville, NC - A number of athletes swimming for East Burke and Draughn High School have completed the long, hard road to regionals.
Just two weeks after capturing first and second spots in the tough Catawba Valley Athletic 2A Conference swimming tournament, both teams will be well represented at the regional competition in the Huntersville Fitness and Aquatic Center on Friday (weather permitting).
Draughn High coaches T.R. Robinson and Sarah Rosebrock have swimmers competing in 14 of the 16 individual events, plus all six relays.
East Burke coaches David Andersen and Gilbert Guittard have girls in two individual events and boys in seven plus all three boys' relays.
The Huntersville pool is on Verhoeff Drive off Statesville Road in Huntersville.
The 1A-2A races should start shortly after the 11 a.m. coaches meeting Friday.
The following are the Draughn and East Burke swimmers who qualified for regionals, their qualifying spot, and their qualifying time.
The twelve best times from regionals advance to the state finals.
