This year I celebrated my 40th birthday.
Last year on my birthday, I didn't get to do anything because I was in misery with the shingles.
So this year I invited my friends from my line-dance class, my best friend Bernice and Momma to come have lunch with me, Dutch treat, but we'd enjoy each other's company on my big day.
As you can see from the photo, I had a great turnout.
Those ladies are so precious to me, and it's a pleasure to know each one of them.
I had a perfect luncheon, and we all had such a good time, we are going to plan another luncheon very soon just to gather and be ourselves.
When I invited the ladies to join me for lunch, I told them, "No gifts please, just bring your bright shiny faces, and we'll have a great time."
We did have a wonderful time. We had good food and our bonds of friendship grew stronger.
I ended up with lots of great smelling lotions, wonderful cards and such, because the ladies didn't pay me any attention when I said, "No gifts, please."
Ladies thank you for your friendship, I am so blessed to call you my friends.
