The Waldensian Trail Of Faith in Valdese would like to thank the surrounding communities for another successful Christmas Season. The Christmas Light display was lit up on Nov. 22 and went through Christmas Eve. We were fortunate enough to have the children’s choir from Ray Childers Elementary School performing for our opening ceremonies. What a blessing!

Our family had been considering getting a second dog to keep our Labrador, Dixie,company.
While traveling through Morganton on Interstate 40 on Friday, Dec. 2 around 3 p.m. we experienced a problem with our vehicle. We were able to make it to Exit 103 where we pulled into the parking lot of Enterprise, thinking we might be able to rent a car to continue our trip. What happened was we learned what a caring group of people live in the Morganton area!
I guess most of us have this problem: it’s easy to point out the speck in someone else’s eye while we’re standing here with a plank sticking out of our own eye.
The staff of Burke Memorial Park would like to thank all of those that participated in our 18th annual Luminary Display on Dec. 10. This year, over 5,500 bags and candles were placed throughout the cemetery. It was a beautiful sight and would not have been possible without all of these fine people.
