Teachers learn about NC virtual schools

Dr. Bryan Setser, director of North Carolina Virtual Public Schools, visited the Burke County Public School System on Wednesday, and gave principals, administrators and teachers an overview of online learning opportunities available to North Carolina Public School students.

For the 2009-10 school year, there is a projected enrollment of approximately 15,000 North Carolina students participating in online courses. Around 300 of these enrollees are Burke County students. Debbie Kincaid, assistant technology director, coordinated the in-service.
