Burke County sheriff's detectives are seeking the public's help in solving a theft at Shady Grove United Methodist Church.
Detective Mike Ollis said sometime between 7 p.m. Sunday and 11:40 a.m. Monday, someone stole a $5,000 sound system and a computer out of the office.
It is not clear if the suspect broke in to the church or if he hid while the youth group met in the evening, Ollis said.
Additionally, investigators found seven to eight tombstones pushed over in the church cemetery.
