Valdese plays host to the Fantasy Band on Friday

Valdese Family Friday Night summer series will feature the Fantasy Band this week at 7 p.m. in the Wachovia Parking lot.
The Fantasy Band is a local group that has been playing together for more than 27 years.
Featuring Gene Poole on drums, David Worley, guitar/vocals, Charlie Rowe, bass/vocals, Darrell Widner, guitar/vocals and Chris Rose on keyboards, this group will entertain the audience with their variety music.
With more than 500 songs on their repertoire, the night will be filled with great music.
Myra's will continue its Friday "Cruise In" with numerous classic/antique cars and several of the merchants will remain open to provide an opportunity for those who might want to walk around town and visit the shops.
The Valdese Family Friday Night series is sponsored by the town of Valdese, Valdese Merchants Association and The News Herald.
The Valdese Farmers Market is open for business starting at 8 a.m. Wednesdays and from 2 to 6 p.m. Fridays.
It is located on Faet Street in the parking lot across from the Valdese Town Hall.
