A new concierge service, Lake James At Your Service, provides customized care for homes on Lake James.
"A concierge service," co-owner, Betsy Hodges said, "acts as a personal time expander by making the clients duties, ours."
Sheila Roberts, also a co-owner, said, "Time is a precious resource, and Lake James At Your Service can bring time savings to our clients as we take away the hassles associated with a second home. Customers can arrive at their lake home ready to enjoy themselves without worrying about everyday chores."
Hodges lives at Lake James and knows how important and enjoyable lake time is. Roberts, a Morganton native, realizes how much of your vacation time can be eaten up by the everyday must do's. Both Hodges and Roberts are familiar with quality services in Burke and McDowell counties and can offer homeowners peace of mind for free.
Service possibilities are unlimited, but Hodges and Roberts specialize in making homes ready for client arrival by setting thermostats, changing linens, cleaning, shopping and stocking kitchens.
After customer departure they will put your home back in order for the next visit. They also provide twice monthly security and maintenance checks during the off season. Lake James At Your Service will meet and provide access to homes for repairmen, delivery personnel and installation personnel, waiting until jobs are complete and ensuring the home is secure.
While Lake James At Your Service focuses on second homes at Lake James in Burke and McDowell counties, they also provide service to other homes in the community.
"We provided services to a lady hosting a dinner party recently, so it just depends on each customer's needs," Hodges said.
"We are insured and bonded, are members of the McDowell Chamber of Commerce, the Better Business Bureau, Community of Lake James and Laurel Pointe Homeowners Association," Roberts said.
