After retiring from the western Arkansas schools, I relocated to Morganton four years ago.
In 1960 we had a similar situation concerning a school board majority such as Burke County's. It almost devastated our school system and it took 40 long years to recover from the damage.
I truly believe Susan Stroup, Sam Wilkinson, Buddy Armour and Catherine Thomas can put Burke County schools back on the road to recovery. I urge you to vote for the SWAT team and try to save our school district.
