I enjoyed Maxine Carroll humorous letter about President Obama. Even though I disagree with her, I can appreciate good writing when I see it.
I voted for Obama because I thought he was the lesser of two evils.
The problems facing our country transcend political parties.
Congress has allowed many factories to go out of business. I would say just about every town in North Carolina has lost factories.
It would be easy to blame the losses on the Republicans, because they are the free-trade, global-economy party
Democrats are partly to blame because they voted for NAFTA and GATT
All of our living ex-presidents have supported free-trade agreements.
One thing I am sure of. Congress is out of touch with the common man.
