Basketball tourney
Salem Athletic Foundation will hold its second annual basketball tournament in memory of Ayden Crawley the weekend of Nov. 20. The deadline for registration is Monday. No entry fee, single-game elimination. Contact Rodney Hamby at 433-6212.
W.A. Young basketball
A basketball tournament at Freedom High Nov. 27 and 28 for boys and girls pee wee, mighty mite, midget and junior teams. Cost is $10 for each team. Sign-up dates are through Nov. 23. Contact Jason Vance at 584-7224.
Youth wrestling
The Patriot Youth Wrestling Club will hold sign-ups and practice every Tuesday and Thursday from 6 to 7:30 p.m. at Freedom High School in the wrestling mat room. Sign-up fees are $25 which includes a T-shirt. This is for any interested youth that is in Pre-k through sixth grade. Call Steve at 584-9881 or Donnie at 584-8101.
Volleyball club
The Burke County Volleyball Club will host tryouts for the 14 and under girls travelling team from 6 to 8 p.m. Tuesday at the Mountain View Recreation Gym. Eligible players will not turn 15 before the end of the season and participation cost is $500, which covers tournament fees, equipment, uniforms, officiating and insurance.
