The Draughn High Lady Wildcats volleyball team went to Maiden on Monday to take on the red hot Lady Blue Devils in the final CVAC game of the regular season.
With conference seedings on the line, the Lady Cats went down the first game 22-25, but then regrouped and swept the last three games 25-18, 28-26 and 25-21.
The 3-1 victory guarantees the Lady Cats at least a fourth place finish with their 8-6 CVAC record.
The final seedings and playoff spots will be announced later.
Leading stats for the Cats on Tuesday were Aubrey Bradshaw's 21 kills, LaSashia Connelly's 19 assists and 11 digs, Courtney Keaton's 16 assists and two aces, Taylor Shelton's 15 digs and three blocks apiece from Caitlin Lowman and Elizabeth Lingafeldt.
In the early JV contest, the Maiden JVs won a hard-fought match 25-19 and 28-26.
Picking up four kills each for the Lady Cat JV team were Elizabeth Lingafeldt, Lena Bradshaw and Melissa Sigmon, while Lingafeldt also had nine digs and two blocks. Courtney Keaton registered three ace serves.
