The winning streak for Draughn High soccer ended on Wednesday against West Caldwell but the unbeaten streak stayed intact.
The Wildcats overcame a 2-1 deficit in the second half to tie West Caldwell 2-2 and send the game to overtime.
Both of the teams left everything on the field in overtime, and the score stayed at 2-2.
It was also senior night for Draughn as five seniors were honored in a pre-game ceremony.
"When you fight that hard, you're going to come away with some nicks and bruises," Draughn head coach Josh Martin said. "We'll celebrate tonight and we will be back at work to finish the season."
The Warriors drew first blood three minutes into the game.
Three minutes later, Chase Hogg responded for Draughn, with a goal of his own, to tie it up at one.
West Caldwell wasn't going to take it lying down as they took the lead back 15 minutes later.
Draughn goalkeeper Yeng Yang recorded three saves to keep other Warrior opportunities off the scoreboard at haltime.
In the second half, West Caldwell goalkeeper Tony Garcia recorded four saves to keep Draughn's shots out of the net.
But, with less than 12 minutes to go, Ansel Clayton found the open hole and scored the tying goal to knot things up at two.
In overtime, Yang recorded four saves, while Garcia recorded one save.
Defensive pressure and muscle cramps caused problems for Draughn, but still the Warriors were kept out of the goal.
Draughn (13-6-2, 11-0-1) can clinch sole possession of the Catawba Valley Athletic Conference title with a win on Monday at Maiden High.
The Wildcats also conclude the regular season, hosting South Iredell High, on Tuesday to make up a game postponed by rain.
