The East Burke High soccer team's season ended with a 7-1 home loss to a South Iredell High team Monday.
The Vikings were strong out of the gate in the opening half. South Iredell scored four goals in the half and led 4-0 at the half.
Two of South Iredell's goals were from Zach Leaptrott.
South Iredell didn't slow down in the second half, adding three more goals.
East Burke eventually got on the board, with 17:41 left on a penalty kick.
East Burke finished the season with a 2-19 overall record, along with a 2-12 record in the Catawba Valley Athletic Conference.
