Many youths in Burke County are heading up this week's collection for charity as part of the national Souper Bowl of Caring program, now in its 20th year. Area congregations and church youth organizations around Burke County will participate on Sunday. Local participants will collect monetary and non-perishable food donations on or around Feb. 7 to benefit Burke United Christian Ministries. Community members are encouraged to check with their local churches to learn more on how they can donate to the Souper Bowl program.
