Many of the top names in bluegrass music will perform during the 2010 Red White and Bluegrass Festival on the River Stage at Catawba Meadows Park.
The Morganton Parks & Recreation Department, the festival's sponsor, on Monday announced a lineup that includes Doyle Lawson & Quicksilver, Del McCoury, Seldom Scene, Mountain Heart with Tony Rice, Cherryholmes, IIIrd Tyme Out and Balsam Range.
The festival opens July 1 and will wind up with a bang — the city's annual fireworks display — on Sunday, July 4.
Advance tickets are on sale now through May 31 at the City of Morganton Municipal Auditorium (CoMMA) box office. A four-day event pass costs $40 in advance (a savings of $20 off the regular ticket price) and one-day admission costs $15 (a $5 discount). Children 12 and under enter free with a paid admission.
People also can sign up now for camping permits.
