Burke County Sheriff's investigators apprehended a man Tuesday who has been on Burke County's Top Ten Most Wanted list since 2008.

Timothy Dean Andrews, 44, of 1072 Oak Hill Drive was charged with first-degree burglary, felony larceny, felony possession of stolen goods, felony breaking and entering to a motor vehicle, misdemeanor larceny and three counts of probation violation for offenses spanning Jan. 1, 2008 to Dec. 17, 2008.

On Monday, the North Carolina State Highway Patrol investigated a vehicle accident involving Andrews, investigators said. Officers allege he gave them a false name at the time.

On Tuesday, a tip through Crimestoppers led investigators to Andrews' location at 1072 Oak hill Drive, investigators said.

Andrews is confined at Burke Catawba District Confinement Facility under a $7,500 secured bond. He is scheduled to appear in court April 15.
