Byrd: Articles raise two questions

I would like to comment on several articles in The News Herald in the past month.
Leonard Pitts' column on Haiti and the earthquake was well-written. I was disappointed by the comments made by Pat Robertson and Lt. Gov. Bauer concerning the people of Haiti and the poor. My question is, "What would Jesus do?" Did He not show compassion in the New Testament?
The articles on the health-care reforms have been interesting. My question is why people in Congress, who are elected by the people, have a much better health-care plan than the average citizen.
