With all the CEO's and presidents of businesses we have in the North Carolina statehouse, you would think they know a thing or two about business. But yet, struggling businesses is currently what is hurting the U.S. economy. We define them as innovators, because most founded their businesses from the dirt. But if they were real leaders, they would witness the problems they see laying before them.
The N.C. General Assembly wanted Washington to pull through one more time. They wanted Washington to bail the U.S. economy out. When is the last time Washington ever pulled through?
The General Assembly could have lowered the state business tax to force the market price of production to go down. This would have enticed businesses to make more at a lower price, thus hiring more workers. This is a simple business principle.
It sounds to me that our business leaders need to get a control of their struggling entities and leave Raleigh to real leaders.
