Two men were charged for a break-in to a business after the owner of a neighboring business apprehended them.
Cameron Lee Stamey, 17, of 3235 Elsie Childers St., Hildebran, and Hugh Harrison Harris, 18, of 105 Third St. NE, Hildebran, were each charged with felony breaking and entering.
Burke County sheriff's investigator Chase Foss said at 4:16 a.m. Wednesday, the two suspects broke into Tri-County Hobby Slot Car Racing, 103 First St. Place NE, Hildebran.
Michael Johnson, the owner of the business above Tri-County Hobby, heard the suspects and found the front door of the business kicked in, Foss said.
Johnson detained the suspects and contacted the sheriff's office, Foss said.
Stamey and Harris were confined at Burke-Catawba District Confinement Facility under a $3,000 and $1,000 bond, respectively.
