A Morganton woman remains in serious condition at Carolinas Medical Center after a one-car accident earlier this week on Interstate 40 left her injured.
Bee Lee-Xiayee Vue, 57, of 4912 Kudzu Lane was traveling west on I-40 when overcorrected her steering and lost control of the vehicle, the North Carolina State Highway Patrol report by Trooper R.C. Abernathy said.
Vue’s vehicle ran off the road to the right colliding into a guardrail, Abernathy wrote. The vehicle overturned down an embankment and collided into a tree.
The vehicle traveled another 108 feet before coming to a stop, the report said.
