Eliza Ann Mitalda McDowell Chambers (1850-1954) is shown holding one of her 14 children. She and her husband, Andrew Chambers, who died in 1937, lived on North Street in Morganton. She died in 1954 at the age of 104 years. Both she and her husband are buried in Olive Hill Cemetery. This photograph was contributed to Picture Burke by Laura Chambers Brown. Picture Burke is a digital photographic archive of Burke County history being created by the North Carolina Room at the Burke County Public Library.
