Car strikes gas pump

»  Comments | Post a Comment

A gas pump at Colonel’s Pantry sprung a leak when it was struck by a car.

No one was hurt.

Erin Dawn Brittain told police she forgot to put the parking break on in a 2006 Toyota pickup truck when she stopped at the gas station at 1007 Jamestown Road, according to a Morganton Public Safety wreck report.

The truck rolled into the gas pump and caused it to spring a leak. A repairman was called to fix the pump.

Damage was estimated at $200 to the pump and $400 to the truck.
